Hello everyone! I want to share a post about my Fit-Bit versa and the difference it’s made along with MyFitnessPal in how I track my activity levels.
I’m a big believer in calorie tracking for individuals who want to lose, gain or are actively working to maintain their weight. As a personal trainer I have found when my clients are tracking their food they are more accountable and I know this to be true for myself as well! I use my fitness pal to track my calories. Although it’s a habit I’ve neglected, it is something I’ve gotten back into the swing of doing and really appreciate the effectiveness. I use the app MyFitnessPal. It syncs up with my fit bit and tracking has never been easier. I like that it remembers what I frequently and recently have tracked and it allows me to quickly select it or choose multiple things at once. A lot of restaurants are on there as well which is convenient for eating out. Currently in September I am doing a Vegan (of course) calorie cycling diet I’ve put together for myself. It has lower calorie days and moderate calorie days that balance out to a weekly deficit for weight loss.

If you’re goal is to reach new levels of fitness, it is undeniable that what we eat plays a huge role in our health and well being. If you’re not sure where to start making changes, track things! See how you feel when you cut out or add things. Be more aware of how you are fueling your body.
